Dance Screen retrospective 1985-2008 is a 65 minute program of short dance screen works by celebrated Australian choreographer and director Tracie Mitchell.
As a retrospective, Dance Screen retrospective 1985-2008 presents a historical overview of Mitchell’s titles ranging from early works from the mid 1980’s through to her most recent work.
The program screens six titles: Warehouse #1 (1985), Chicken (1990), Thread (1994), Sure (1998), Whole Heart (2005) and Under the Weather (2008).
Each work is an unique artistic exploration into how live dance, the camera and space could be intertwined in order to create screen choreographies.
